Saint Francis Art

Did you know that 2026 commemorates the 800-year anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi. And to honor him (I've been a big fan since my teens) I've created two original paintings and made a card. During the last two years of St Francis's life, since he tried to imitate Christ so deeply, God granted him the actual wounds (pierced hands, feet and sides) in his body. His prayerful disposition and stigmata reception is captured in these two paintings completed in acrylic on heavy paper.
